Krime Cleargates ( New Haven,CT representer) is what you would call a musical genius! He found his love for the turntables at the age of 12. Aspiring to be the next DJ Ron G, Kid Capri,DJ Doo Wop (do your research if you don't know who these early 90's djs are). He was taught the ropes of djing by one of CT's biggest dj's White Flash. Krime started to release a gang of mixtapes in the early 90's under the name DJ Krime. Using the tactics Flash gave him, and as Krime would say stealing the resources he had like the different retail mom and pop stores even some of the bigger music outlets, Krime set out to take over the top dj spot in CT. Krime met Nino around 1996/97 and the two began their mixtape journey. Some would say what they achieved in those years put them at the forefront of CT'S underground hip hop having put out over 100 mixtapes and moving units from CT all the way down south as well as performing and djing hundreds of club dates. When Nino started to go back and forth to jail Krime started to question if this (the hip-hop game) is what he still wanted to do. He decided that he'd teach his self how to make beats so he could produce tracks for Nino when he was released from jail. Krime said The first initial set of beats he made were horrible and that led him to think that maybe he should go to school and learn how to make beats professionally. Krime then enrolled in IAR (institute of audio research) and he also attended UNH for recording/tracking/editing/ and program mixing. He would later put those skills to use at the legendary Horizon Music Group Studios in West Haven,CT. Recently reconnecting with long time partner and brother from another mother Nino, Krime started sending beats his way and he started sending rhymes Krimes way and the rest is history. Krime is a perfectionist and he will not stop grinding and pushing until the world acknowledges his greatness and with his partner right behind him the two feel there is nothing stopping them from sitting at the top of todays hip-hop world.
